Noel Christmas Card

Noel Christmas Card
This is the card I sent out this year. It was a very easy, simple card to make. The one hang up I had was the embellishment. Before I added it, the card was too white. I tried gem stones, but they don't go through the mail that well. I looked at Stickles, but couldn't find a color that matched the glitter paper I used. What I finally did was take my 1/8" punch and made a lot of dots from the glitter paper and then glued one on each card. The glitter paper I used was a messless glitter paper. I could run my hand over the top of it and not have a bit of glitter on my hand. I liked it for that reason, but it is a bit thick compared to other glitter paper. This is an A7 card so it is a bigger card, but I don't always like to send the same size card every year. I saw the embossing on another card on someones blog and fell in love with it. It is put out by Crafts-too and is called "Noel". I had no trouble running this embossing folder through my Cuttlebug. I rounded the corners just to give it a look that is not so square. I hope you enjoy this card!
So, here are the details:
Embossing folder - "Noel" by Crafts-Too
Paper - Glitter Paper, Jewel Blue by American Crafts: Solor White paper
1/8" circle punch
EK Success paper corner rounder, the purple one

Pickup Truck Bayport

My step son's birthday is coming up this week so I needed to make a card for him. The reason I picked a pickup truck to put on the front of the card is because he has been asking Santa for a truck for the last couple of years. so I decided to put one on his card. The card is simple and easy to make. The tools I used on this were the brand new Cruicut (if you don't have one and are considering a die cut machine of some kind, find someone who has one and try it out), my Stampin' Up mat pack (this contains a plastic square piece that helps you get your hole spaced for brads and eyelets), and a ribbon punch from Making Memories. This is a good masculine card.
Stamp - unknown
Paper - bordering blue and close to cocoa by Stampin' Up, off white - unknown, dp - unknown
ink - chocolate chip by Stamin' Up
Embellishments - dark blue ribbon and brads

Easter Bunny's Laundry Line

I know I haven't been on by blog for quite a while, but I have a new step granddaughter and we had to go down to South Carolina to see her. She is beautiful, of coarse.

I made this Easter Card for her first Easter. It is a very simple card. It is also my first experience with digital stamps. All the paper came from one paper pack, along with the pink tag and the pink corner piece. I colored the picture in with copic markers and then, to add a little pizazz, I added glitter to the picture by taking a glue pen and just drawing in where I was going to want glitter and then dipping it in glitter. I added glitter to the tag by just going around the white "Easter Eggs" part with a glue pen and dipping that. I also put glitter on the two brads by putting some glue on the tops of them and then dipping them in the glitter. Have fun making this one.
