I got back from my trip from Burbank California. I took the wedding card I have pictured on my blog to the wedding. It took me a while to decide what my next card was going to be, I finally came up with a fall card. I had ordered the bushel basket stamp online before I went on my trip and it came after I got back. The squash stamp I have had for a while, but just didn't know what I wanted to do with it. They came together in this card. The technique I used is masking. I had to first stamp both images on a piece of scrap paper and cut them out. I wanted to find out where my basket was going to lay on the squash. Then I had to draw a line through the squash and fit it onto my stamp so the bottom part of the stamp would not get any ink on it. After I stamped the squash, I took my image on the scrap paper, again, and this time cut out the upper part of the squash and used removable tape to tape it onto my image. I then stamped the basket on. This way, there are no lines from the basket showing through the squash. A couple thing to also take note, the card has a white base. It doesn't always show when a card is scanned. Also, the card is square. Just remember that a square card costs more to mail then an A2 or A7 card. Anyway, enjoy the card.
